Biography

Rhoda Henning was born in 1880. She was the daughter of John Henning and Isabella Hastings. ^[1][2] Her father was a farmer.

In 1900 Rhoda was 20 yrs. old, working as a servant in the household of George Jepson in South Arm township East Jordan village, Charlevoix, Michigan, United States.^[3]

On Dec. 12th, 1903 Rhoda married widowed laborer William Loveland Porter Hickox in Bellaire, Antrim, Michigan, United States. They were both residing there; Rhoda was 23 yrs. old, William 36 yrs. old.^[4]

In 1910, Rhoda was 29 yrs. old, living with her husband and two children in Forest Home, Antrim, Michigan, United States. Rex Hickox was her 14 yr. old stepson and she had a 3 yr. old daughter Louisa H Hickox. Her husband William was working as a Laborer in a woodenware factory. They had been married six years.^[5]

In 1929 Rhoda was 39 yrs. old, living with her family in Antrim, Michigan, United States. Her husband William was working as a carpenter, building houses.^[6] William passed away at 61 yrs. old in 1928.

In 1940 Rhoda was 59 yrs. old, living with her daughter Lovisa in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States. ( 5 yrs. earlier in 1935 they were living in the same place). She was working as a Cook in a Church. Lovisa was working as a stenographer in a Real Estate company.^[7]

She passed away at 69 yrs. old in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, United States. Rhoda was mentioned on a memorial in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire, Antrim County, Michigan, United States with a death date of 1949.^[8][9]
