George Herman was born in Batavia Township in 1892. He was the son of Michael Herman and Victoria Sikorski. He married Gertrude Kolassa in Bronson Township in 1919.
George passed away in 1965.
BRONSON - George S. Herman. 72, of Route 5, Coldwater, died Friday morning at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Ann Arbor where he had been admitted two days previously.
He was born in Bronson, a son of Michael and Victoria (Sikorski) Herman, and had been a lifelong area resident. His wife, the former Gertrude Kolassa, died in 1928.
Mr. Herman was employed by the L. A. Darling Co. for many years until his retirement a few years ago. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Coldwater. He is survived by two sons, Eugene of Coldwater and Gerald of Battle Creek; four sisters, Mrs. Verna Micha-lac of Wyandotte, Mrs. Geneva Sawicki of Detroit. Mrs. Edward (Cecelia) Pickarski of Warren and Mrs. Rose Kujawa of River Rouge, and two brothers, Frank of Coldwater and Tony of Detroit.[1]
