Edmund Geoffrey Hewett was born on November 18, 1895 in Worlingham, Suffolk, England, United Kingdom, son of Percival William Hewett (1861–1939) and Ida Charlotte Taylor (1861–1927).

In the 1911 census Edmund (age 15), School, was the single son of Percival William Hewett in Waterfield, Warlingham, Surrey, Warlingham, Surrey, England.[1]

Edmund died on December 2, 1915 in Turkey, Gallipoli., aged 20. He was mentioned on a memorial in LALA BABA CEMETERY, Turkey (including Gallipoli) with a death date of 2 December 1915.[2]
