Joseph, son of Joseph and Sarah (Dingley) Hewett, was born at Marshfield, MA on December 24, 1736 and was baptized at First Church on June 10, 1739. He is a descendant of Mayflower passenger RICHARD WARREN.
In 1749, John Dingley, Jr., of Marshfield was appointed to be his guardian.[1]
