Biography
Eli Hewitt was born 28 Jun 1810 at North Stonington, Connecticut. He was the seventh and final child of Eli Hewitt and Betsey Williams.
He married Mary Lamb (10 Oct 1813 - 1902, daughter of Gilbert Lamb [1]). These children may have proceeded from this union:
- Mary A. Hewitt (1842 - 1909)
- Gilbert L. Hewitt (1846 - 1921)
- Alfred Hewitt (1848 - 1848)
- Frank E. Hewitt (1855 - 1856)
Eli Hewitt died 17 Feb 1887 [2]. His grave is in Windham Center Cemetery, Windham, Windham County, Connecticut, USA, marked by a collective Hewitt family monument [3].
