“Herbert N. Hewlett Sr., fifty-nine, 1015 East Fifth street, Berwick, died yesterday morning at four-fifteen at the Berwick Hospital where he had been a patient ten days.
“Born at Summerhill, he was a son of the late Charles Edward and Alice Curtis Hewlett and was a resident of the Berwick area all his life.
“Prior to his retirement three years ago due to ill health he was employed as a mechanical loom repairman for National Select for twenty-five years.
“Survivors include two sons, Herbert N. Hewlett Jr., Bloomsburg; Donald Hewlett, serving with the U.S. Navy in Vietnam; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Folk, Mrs. Carol Mausteller and Miss Shirley Hewlett, Bloomsburg; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Krebs, Mrs. William VanPelt, Mrs. Daniel Messersmith, Berwick; three brothers, Felbert and William Hewlett, Berwick; Alvin Hewlett, Danville.
“Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. William F. Tucker, pastor of the First Christian Church, Berwick, officiating. Burial will be in Elan Memorial Park.”
