Alice Hibbard was probably born in about the 1760s or early 1770s, and she was probably born in the Parish of Glossop, in Derbyshire, England.[1][2]
In 1791 Alice married Samuel Etchells in All Saints', in Glossop, in the Parish of Glossop, on the 20th of February. Alice and Samuel's marriage was witnessed by Henry Bray and John Hadfield.[3][4][5]
Alice and her husband Samuel had at least six children together who were William (1791), Thomas (1800), Bettey (1802), Shusan (1805), and Sarah (1808), who were all born in Charlesworth, in Derbyshire, and christened there
