The William Hicks (1) of the WILL DIED Nov 11 1710, so how can he have a son William (2) born March 10 1714?
This is what the Baltimore County Families 1659 - 1759 page 324 has to say about him.
" HICKS, WILLIAM (2) s. of William (1) and Jane; m. Ann (_____); on 14 May 1730 as eld. s. and heir of William Hicks, dec'd, he was living in Kent Co., Del. when he sold 400 a. to Erick Erickson; had at least one s.: WILLIAM b. 10 March 1714 (72: 262 , 131) "
" HICKS, HENRY (5) s. of William (1), in 1750 owned 100 a. of Hicks' Adventure, and 82 a. of Bond's Forest; leaving a Will, 25 August 1751 - 20 Sept. 1751 naming William Robeson, Laban Hogg. s. James, w. Mary and mentioning "Other Children"; Admin Bond was posted 12 Oct. 1751 by Mary Hicks and Laban Ogg. (?) with Greenbury Dorsey; had issue, among others, JAMES (13:270; 12: 415; 153: 45)
GUESS WE WILL GUESS this is in Maryland.
He passed away in 1751.
