Frederick Henry Hill was born the son of Sarah Raney (White) Hill and Frederick Jesse Hill.^{[citation needed]}

He married Agnes Hilda Grubb on 1 March 1919 at Surbiton, Upper Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia, that was reported in the Argus newspaper ^{[1] [2]}

HILL-GRUBB.- On the 1st March, 1919, at "Surbiton," Upper Hawthorn, by the Rev. Oliver Dowsing, Frederick Henry, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Hill, "Leighwood," Alfred road, Burwood, to Agnes Hilda, youngest daughter of Mr. Charles and the late Louisa Grubb, "Surbiton," Burwood road, Upper Hawthorn.
