Biography
Eliza Jane Hillhouse is the daughter of Newton Hillhouse (1838 - 1917) and Charlotte (Young) Hillhouse (1840 -1910)[1]
Eliza Jane married Samuel Erskin Claxton, son of Henderson C. Claxton and Susan M. (Harrison) Claxton. Children of Eliza Jane and Samuel are:
- Walter E. Claxton (1881 - 1884)
- Jason Newell Claxton (1883 - 1950)
- Essie B. Claxton Daniel (1885 - 1970)
- Newton Odus Claxton (1890 - 1968)
- Susan Charlotte Claxton Gourley (1893 - 1981)

- Ray Edward Claxton (1898 - 1960)
