2. I found no records naming him "Alfred Luke" other than the FaG. The rest are "Luke"
3. It's possible Julia was not legally marr. to Alfred Luke (she seems to be both Julia Smith and Julia Merrit in two different transcripts of the census)
4. May have married three times. There's records for two of those (1868 and 1871), both in Taylor Co, GA
5. No record so far for the 3rd marr. said to have been to Julia Dickerson Smith Swails 1848–1903
