Biography

Tryphena "Phena" Goodell, daughter of Jabez and Abigail Goodell, was born November 24, 1766 in Mansfield, Tolland, Connecicut. The name inscribed on her tombstone was "Tryphena". ^{[1] [2]}She married first Heli Hitchcock in Vermont on Dec 2, 1784. ^{[3] [4]} and they had six children. She was living in Vermont as a widow in 1820; he died in 1818. ^[5] After his death she married Elijah Ranney ^[6]. She died 27 March 1838 and was buried in Westminster West Cemetery next to her first husband Heil Hitchcock. Find A Grave: Memorial #71590177. ^[2]
