Civil War Confederate Cpl., Company B, 6th. Regiment Mississippi Infantry. He was Killed In Action 6 April 1862 during the Battle of Shiloh.

The US Government considered "Confederate Soldiers", enemies of the State. So, they were buried in the trenches where they died in Battle @ SHILOH. There are about 5 markers that designate these specific mass burial locations; where the soldiers bodies were stacked one on top of another. One of these burial sites is said to contain about 700 men.
