Biography

Alexander was born on January 14, 1894 in Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas. He was the son of Logan Hix and Emma Waters.

He married Opal Swanner.

Alex fought in World War I.[1][2] According to his niece, Marilyn Hix Marks, "His job was to remove the deceased from the battlefield."[3]

Alec passed away on March 4, 1961 in Van Alstyne, Grayson County, Texas,[4][5][6]and was buried at the Van Alstyne Cemetery beside his parents.[7][8][9]
