Biography
She may have been the Jane Hobbs baptised on 24 Aug 1570 at Bartholomew by the Exchange, City of London, daughter of William Hobbs[1].
In 1581 she was a beneficiary of the will of her father, William Hobbes, Citizen and Draper of London, parishioner of St Michael Bassishaw in the City of London[2]. She was recorded as Jane. She and her brothers William and Thomas were all under the age of 21 and unmarried.
'Jeene Hobbes' married Thomas Smyth on 21 Apr 1588 at St Michael Bassishaw, City of London[3].
Joan Hobbs, daughter and coheir of William Hobbs, Draper of London, married Thomas Smythe as his 2nd wife but died s.p.
