Ruth Beatrice Hockett was born on 8 February 1921 in Hermitage, Davidson County, Tennessee.[1] She was the daughter of Bart and Addie Hockett.[2]
In 1930, Ruth was residing with her parents and siblings, Nancy, James, Lucy Mae, Odell, Douglas, and Herbert, in Davidson County, Tennessee.[2]
In 1940, Ruth was residing with her mother, brothers, James and Odell, and her two children, in Hermitage, Davidson County, Tennessee.[3]
Ruth Hockett married George M (Ewing) Ewin (1898-1973) on 28 March 1947 in Davidson County, Tennessee.[4][5] She was 26 and he was 49, and they both resided in Hermitage.[6]
Ruth passed away on 1 September 1980[7] at a local infirmary, presumably in Davidson County, Tennessee. She was buried at Evans-Hill Cemetery in Hermitage. She was survived by a son and a daughter.[8]
