Biography

Olga Genetta Hocutt was born on 19 June 1897 in Fayette County, Alabama.[1] She was the firstborn of perhaps five children of Napolean Bard Washington "Poley" Hocutt and his wife Adline Amanda E. "Mandy" McCarver.[2]

She met William Dayton Killingsworth at a tent revival meeting that William organized in Fayette after he returned to Alabama following the death of his first wife, Piety Evergreen Ballard.[3] They were married on 15 January 1917.

The marriage bore children: Sarah Pauline, John Berry, Euline, William Dayton Jr., Foy Edwin and Dorothy M. "Dot".[4]

William died on 26 February 1933 in Wortham, Freestone County, Texas.[5] Olga did not remarry, and died 61 years later on 15 September 1994 in Northport, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.[6][1]
