- Note N1099The 1851 census says she was aged 31 and born in Frome. Two family trees quoted on ancestry.co.uk list a Sarah Hoddinot who was born 14 April 1819 and baptised 4 May 1919 in Holcombe, Somerset. Holcombe is not far from Frome, and this could be the same person. Parents John Hoddinott 1779- (Farmer in Holcombe 186, agricultural labourer in Frome 1851) and Fanny Rossiter 1781-1884, who were married in St John the Baptist's, Frome on 25 Mar 1802.
- FreeBMD gives a Sarah Allen, b. abt. 1819, died in Bath in the Oct quarter 1888 which could be she.
