Biography
William Hodges was born on 6 Sep 1836 in Sandusky, Ohio.[1] He was the son of Jesse William Hodges (1805-1838) and Maria (Ragan) Hodges (1810-1879).
William married Sarah Catherine Bosserman (1844-1910) on 3 Jun 1869 in DeWitt County, Illinois.[2] They are reported to have had five sons:
- Charles L Hodges (1870-1959)
- Jesse William "Bill" Hodges (1872-1954)
- Clyde Hanford Hodges (1875-1951)
- Fred Nelson Hodges (1879-1956)
- Roscoe Ray Hodges (1881-1902)

William passed away on 26 Aug 1917[5] in Long Beach, California. He is interred in Evergreen Cemetery in Superior, Nebraska.[1]
