Grace was born in 1894. She was the daughter of Isabella Parkinson and Sydney Benjamin Hodges ^[1] She married Martin Henry Thorn in 1925 ^[2]

She passed away in 1946 age 52 ^[3] and was buried in Motueka Cemetery, Tasman District, New Zealand.^[4]
