A selectman at Sherborn for several terms, he also served at several times in the legislature; in his final term there, he "arrived three months late for the 1720 July HR and was excused for the offense."[1]
Eleazer passed away at Sherborn in mid-February of 1726. Sarah (Pond) Holbrook survived him, and was remarried to Capt. John Whiting of Wrentham in January of 1729.
