Biography

Clara was born 31 Dec 1855 in Van Buren Township, Grant County, Indiana. She was the daughter of John Holcomb and Lois Green.

In the 1860 census Clara (age 5) was in Center Township, Greene, Missouri, United States.[1]

In the 1870 census Clara (age 14) was in Van Buren Township, LaGrange, Indiana, United States.[2]

Clara Holcomb and George Armstrong were probably married about 1875.

In the 1880 census Clara (age 23) was the wife of George Armstrong in Eagle Township, LaSalle, Illinois, United States.[3]

George Eldridge Birt and Clara Ida Armstrong were married 25 Aug 1881 in La Salle, LaSalle County, Illiniois.[4] He was the son of George F Birt and Mary Robinson. She was the daughter of John Colcomb and Lois Green.

In the 1900 census Clara (age 45) was the wife of George E Birt in Center Township, Delaware, Indiana, United States.[5] Clara was the mother of 5 children, 3 living. The household included:
