Biography

US Black Heritage Project
Simon Holladay is a part of US Black heritage.

Simon Holladay was born in 1855. He was the son of Major Julian Lesesne and Lucy Holladay. In 1880 he worked on a farm in Manning, Clarendon County, South Carolina.[1]

Simon married Rosa Nelson about 1893. They lived in Mount Zion Township, Clarendon County, South Carolina.[2][3]

Mr. Holladay died August 31, 1916, in Mount Zion, Clarendon, South Carolina, of ascending paralysis. He was buried September 1, 1916, at St John Church.[4]
