Birth and Parents

Ivory Holland was born in Massachusetts.

Ivory, the eldest son and first of ten children of Jonas Holland and Bathsheba Ivory was born on 27 December 1739 at Marlborough, Massachusetts.[1]

American Revolutionary War Service

1776 Project
2nd Lieutenant Ivory Holland served with Middlesex County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Ivory Holland served at the rank of Lieutenant during the American Revolutionary War with the Massachusetts Militia.[2]

Marriage and Children

Ivory married Martha Rogers, the daughter of Thomas and Martha (Hubbard) Rogers on 4 December 1762 at Petersham, Massachusetts.[3] They had twelve children, including

  1. Mary "Polly" Holland (b. 18 Jul 1763; d. aft. 1805) [4] m. 1) say 1785 at Townsend, MA, Lieut. Life Baldwin (1763-1799); m. 2) 14 Nov 1799 at Townsend, MA, Samuel Sparhawk[5]

Death and Burial

Lieut. Ivory Holland died on 10 July 1820 in his 79th year at Richfield, New York. [Needs source].
