Biography

Maudie Marie (Holt) Marshall is the compiler and author of The Descendants of Michael Holt which has been a valuable source of information on that branch of the Holt family tree.^[1]

Maudie was born on 11 Apr 1908 in Holt Community, Hutchinson County, Texas. She was the daughter of Benjamin Holt and Birda Kirk.

The 1910 Census,^[2] at age 2, the 1920 Census,^[3] at age 11, and the 1930 Census,^[4] at age 21, show her in the home of her parents in Hutchinson County, Texas.

She married Archibald Bruce Marshall on 7 Feb 1942 in Spearman, Texas. They had no children.^[1]

The 1950 Census^[5] shows her at age 41 with her husband in Harris County, Texas.

She died on 12 Jun 1997 in Harris County, Texas,^{[6] [7] [8] [9]} and is buried at the Holt Cemetery in Hutchinson County, Texas.^[10]
