Martha Isabelle Homans was born on 3 July 1831 in Manhattan, New York County, New York, United States. Daughter of Capt James Thwing Homans and Martha Elizabeth Kay.

In the 1855 census Martha (age 23) was the wife of William Peet in E.D. 3, Ward 11, Brooklyn City, Kings, New York, United States.[2]
In the 1860 census Martha (age 28) was at 3rd District 11th Ward Brooklyn, Kings, New York, United States.[3]
In the 1870 census Isabella (age 38) was in Orangetown, Rockland, New York, United States.[4]
Martha died on 13 February 1903 in White Plains, Westchester, New York, United States.[5] and was buried in Brooklyn, Kings Brooklyn, New York, United States.[6]
