John Wesley Honea was born on February 21, 1914 in Marion Township, Sebastian County, Arkansas. His father was Virgil Euriah Honea, and his mother was Lilly Dorsey.[1]

At age 26, John stood 5 feet and 9 inches tall, weighed about 155 pounds, had a light brown complexion, with brown hair and brown eyes.[5]
John died on June 4, 1988 in Renton, King County, Washington.[6] He was buried at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton, King County, Washington.[7]
