Catherine (Hooley) Quibell was born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England.

Catherine was born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, on February 12, 1876. She was the daughter of Walter Hooley and Emma Rippon. She was enumerated in the 1881 census as a five year old residing with her parents and four siblings at 52 Lordsmill Street, Chesterfield. She was baptized on April 28, 1891, in Chesterfield. Kate's sister Frances died in 1899. Kate appeared in the 1901 census residing at Norway Road, Ripley, Derbyshire, in the household of widowed brother in law William Quibell and his four children. (Note...eleven month old George W. Hooley also at residence. Appears in 1911 census as George Quibell).

Kate married brother in law William Quibell in 1904. The marriage was registered in the second quarter in Belper, Derbyshire. The couple would have at least two additional children after their marriage. The family appeared in the 1911 census residing at Malthouse Yard Ripley. Six children at residence ages sixteen to one.

Kate passed away in 1952. Her death was registered in the third quarter in Belper, Derbyshire.
