Biography
Parentage of Bijtje/Beijtje is unknown so far. Probably born in Utrecht, around 1700 or so. There are multiple Hoen/Hoon/'t Hoen families having children in Utrecht around this time, and I also suspect her name at birth is not Beijtje.
Gerrit van Schragen, bachelor from 'd Hoogt, and Bijtje Hoon, bachelorette from the Ridderschopsnoot(?), were betrothed to be married on the 22nd of October, 1724, and they were married in the Domkerk of Utrecht on the 8th of November, 1724. I can't read the remark which gives the place for the place of betrothal. The witnesses, who are unnamed, were the bridegroom's father and the bride's mother. [1]
