Biography

Edward was born in 1872^[1] He was the son of William Horley and Alice Ellis. He was christened 17th November 1872 in Toddington, Bedfordshire, England^[2] He was attending Toddington National / St George's Church of England Lower School in 1875^[3] He was living with his father, step-mother and step-brother at High Street, Toddington, Bedfordshire, England and he was attending school in 1881^[4] He was still living with his father, step-mother and siblings at North West Side High Street, Toddington, Bedfordshire, England and he was working as a Pupil Teacher National School in 1891^[5] He married Caroline Beldam in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, England in 1900^[6] He was living with his wife at Ouse Walk, Huntingdon St Mary, Huntingdonshire, England and he was working as a Sorting Clerk & Telegraphist Post Office in 1901^[7] He was living with his wife and children in Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire, England and he was still working as a Sorting Clerk & Telegraphist in Post Office in 1911^[8] He was living with his wife and daughter at 15 Farm Hill , Brighton, Sussex, England and he was a retired Postmaster in 1939^[9] He passed away in 1952^[10]
