Lydia Howe was born in 1739 in Westmoreland, Cheshire, New Hampshire, daughter of Joshua Howe (1716–1800) and Lydia Robbins (1715–1806).
Lydia had a brother, Nehemiah Howe (1737–~1777).
Lydia (29) married Benjamin Whitcomb (32) (born on July 2, 1737 in Lancaster, Massachusetts) on December 14, 1769 in Westmoreland. Their known children were:
Lydia died on September 14, 1823 in Lisbon, Grafton, New Hampshire, United States, aged 83.[1] She is buried in Salmon Hole Cemetery, Lisbon, Grafton, New Hampshire.

pages 44 - 45 Lydia, born in Westmoreland, New Hampshire (no date ); married 14 Dec. 1769, Major Benjamin Whitcomb, son of Benjamin and Dorothy ( White ) Whitcomb of Leominster, Massachusetts, born 2 July 1737, died in Lisbon, New Hampshire, about 1827. Soon after the war they moved from Westmoreland to northern Vermont; later they were one of the pioneer settlers of Lisbon, New Hampshire.
