Biography
Born in either Winchdon, Mass. or Grafton, Vermont (not sure which) on 26 Jul 1793. Married 7 Dec 1826 Ruth Burgess, daughter of Barzilla and Ruth (Ross) Burgess, born in Grafton, Vermont 8 Apr 1800. He was a farmer in Grafton until 1858 when they moved to Winona, Minnesota and later they moved to St. Charles, Minnesota. In Vermont, he was a Captain of the state militia.[1]
