Biography

Palacia was born in 1828. She was the daughter of Henry Howes and Palacia Fenn. Palacia, child of Henry Howes & Palacia Howes, was born on 19 April 1828 and baptised on 26 November 1828 in Saint Andrew, Holborn, Middlesex, England.[1] She was baptised on 26 November 1828 in St Andrew, Holborn, Middlesex, England.[2][3][4]

In the 1841 census Palacia (age 13) was in St Andrew, Holborn, Middlesex, England.[5]

In the 1851 census P (age 22) was the unmarried daughter of Henry Howes in Saint Pancras, Middlesex, England.[6]

Palacia married Joseph Pollard on 31 August 1854 at St Pancras Old Church, Saint Pancras, London, England.[7][8][9] Palacia's marriage was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1854 in the St. Pancras district.[10] They had 7 children:

In the 1861 census Pularia (age 32) was the wife of Joseph Pollard in Pirton, Hertfordshire, England.[15]

Palacia's daughter Catherine Pollard was baptised on 13 September 1863 in Shillington, Bedfordshire, England.[16] Palacia's daughter Gertrude Pollard was baptised on 21 October 1866 in Shillington, Bedfordshire, England.[17] Palacia's son William Pollard was baptised on 17 July 1870 in Shillington, Bedfordshire, England.[18]

In the 1871 census Palacia (age 42) was the wife of Joseph Pollard in Pirton, Hertfordshire, England.[19]

In the 1881 census Palacia (age 52), Farmers Wife, was the wife of Joseph Pollard in Pirton, Hertfordshire, England.[20]

In the 1891 census Palacia (age 62) was the wife of Joseph Pollard in Pirton, Hertfordshire, England.[21]

In the 1901 census Placia (age 72) was the wife of Joseph Pollard in Pirton, Hertfordshire, England.[22]

In the 1911 census Palacia (age 82), Independent, was the widowed head of household in Pirton, Hertfordshire, England.[23]

Suggestions that she passed away on 29 May 1909 in Hitchin seem to be misplaced.
