Biography

Sheldon was born in 1913 in Los Angeles, California to Raymond E (Daniels) Hoyt and Jessie Hoyt.^[1] He was enumerated in 1920 with his parents, younger brother, Broox, and his grandmother Annis Clark Hoyt.^[2]

By 1930 his parents had separated, and Sheldon was listed with his grandmother, mother, and brother.^[3] His grandmother Annis died in 1937; in 1940 the household consists of just Jessie, Sheldon, and Broox.^[4]

Shortly thereafter in September, 1940, Sheldon married Elizabeth Peir in Los Angeles.^[5]

In 1950, Sheldon is working in automotive parts sales and the couple have two children, Sheldon A and Kathryn G.^[6]

Sheldon died in 1963, aged just 49.^[7][8][9]
