Eli Hubbard was born at Williamsburg, Massachusetts on February 2, 1809, the son of Sylvanus Hubbard and Abigail Thayer. ^{[1] [2]}

He married first, Nancy Cowles of Gosher on September 13, 1832. ^[2]

He married second, Mrs. Frances (Levesty) Ashton of Feeding Hills. ^[2]

Eli died at Feeding Hills on November 3, 1874. ^[2]
