Biography

William Huddesfield was born in 1436, son of William Huddesfield (1410–1499) and Alice Gold (~1408– ).

William (25) married Jenet Elizabeth Bozom (41) (born in 1420 in Bosom-Zeal (Bosums Hele), South Tawton, Devon; daughter of John Bozom and Joan (Fortescue) Bozom) in 1462. Their daughter was Catherine Huddesfield (~1463–>1528).

William (40) married Catherine Courtenay (38) (born in 1438 in Powderham, Devon; daughter of Sir Philip Courtenay and Elizabeth (Hungerford) Courtenay) in 1477 in Powderham, Devon. Their daughter was Elizabeth Huddesfield (1479–1527).

William died on June 20, 1499 in Shillingford, Devon, England, aged 62.

'He died Sunday before Midsummer last. Katharine wife of Edmund Carewe, knight, and Elizabeth Huddesfeld, are his daughters and heirs, aged 21 and more and 17 and more respectively.' ( Note Midsummer was Thursday 24th June 1599 therefore he died 20th June; same date as writ )
