Biography
William C. Hudson was born in 1883 Amherst Co., Virginia. William married Mary Elmira Duncan on 5 December 1909 in Amherst Co., Virginia.[1] They would have a daughter Mary Elizabeth Hudson born 12 February 1911. In 1916 Mary Elmira and daughter Mary Elizabeth contracted tuberculosis and the child died. Mary Elmira would live until 1919 when she passed away from the influenza epidemic.
After the death of his wife and daughter William lost his mind and spent the rest of his life in Southwestern State Hospital, Marion, Smyth Co., Virginia.[2]
