Biography
George HUDSON was born about 1818 in Wandsworth, Surrey, England. Son of {[Hudson-11445|James HUDSON]] and Ann Maria JUPP.
1841, 20 year old, George HUDSON was living in Bowne Street, Bexley, Kent, England with his parents, James (age 40, silk printer) and Ann (40) and siblings, Henry (20), John (15) William (11) and Mary (9)[1].
Emma SHEARS and George HUDSON were married on 23 January 1842 at Old Church, Saint Pancras, London, England[2].
The ship, Osprey set sail from Deptford, Kent on 9th Nov 1848 and Plymouth, England on 24 November 1848 with the HUDSON family among the assisted immigrant passengers and arrived at Port Henry, Geelong, Colony of New South Wales (later known as Victoria) on 22 March 1849. The HUDSON family consisted of parents, George (age 30, Wheelwright) and Emma (26) and son, Charles George (4)[3][4][5].
He passed away on 28 April 1886 in Geelong, Colony of Victoria[6] and was buried at the Geelong Eastern Cemetery, Geelong, Greater Geelong City, Victoria, Australia[7]
