Research Notes
The parish registers of Tamworth, Staffordshire, England contain two pre-1580 baptisms for children of a father named William Hudson. By 1580, William would have been 52 (based on his being born in 1528), so this seems a reasonable cutoff (although of course he could have had children after this).
The first baptism is for Anne Hudson on 22 December 1566.[3]
The second is for a William Hudson baptised on 30 September 1571.[4] This happens to be the same date as the birth given for the William Hudson, who was previously attached as son of Henry Hudson and Katherine Elkington.
The 1545 marriage to the widow Alice Perry is based on a London marriage license.[5]
