Biography

Alexander Hughes was born in Wales.

Alexander was born in 1857. He was the son of William Hughes and Esther Brellisford. He passed away about 1904.

His mother died in 1861^[1] and his sister, Amelia, stepped into the role of the family's housekeeper. In 1871 the family were living at Broughton Forge, Denbighshire. Alexander's older brothers had become Iron Puddlers like their father, whilst he and the other 2 younger boys were Scholars.
