• See the census records. In 1861 there is a George Cherer claiming to be German in Bristol who is a musician. 1881 and 1891 he is a pianoforte tuner and his wife is a must teacher. 1871 he isn't found.

• 1910 Death of Eliza Ann Cherer b. 1834, aged 76 in Sudbury Suffolk Civil 4A, page 505. Jan quarter.

• The Royal Society of Female Musicians (RSFM) was established in 1839 when women were not allowed into the Royal Society of Musicians. The two societies merged in 1866 and from that date women were no longer excluded.^[8]
