Biography

William Toney Hulion was born in Atmore, Escambia County, Alabama, United States of America. He told the WWI Draft board that he was born on 26 July 1894;[1] however, the Social Security Death Index indicates his birth year was 1893.[2] More research is needed.

Tony Hulion was enumerated in the household of John and Catherine Hulion in Shoal River, Walton County, Florida in the 1900 Census[3] and in Mossy Head, Walton County, Florida on the 1910 Census.[4]

Wm Toney Hulion and Miss Minnie Lee Shanks were married on 30 May 1916 by County Judge D. K. Middleton in Bay County, Florida, United States of America.[5]

He was farming in Mossy Head, Walton County, Florida, in June 1917 when he registered for the draft. He claimed an exemption for having a dependent family and said that he was the sole support for his wife.[1]

Burial
Crowder Cemetery, Mossy Head, Walton County, Florida, United States of America. His grave marker includes the Square and Compasses symbol, indicating he was a Freemason.[10]
