Josiah Hull was born September 6, 1642[1]probably at Dorchester, Massachusetts.[1]But "Connecticut Births and Christenings" say he was born at Windsor Twp., Hartford, Connecticut.[2]More than likely he moved with his parents to Killingworth in 1664, since at that town his father is known as Josiah Hull, Senior when he was allotted a home lot on the North side of Main Street, west of Indian River.[1]Additionally, in 1669, the list of freemen of the town of Killingworth includes two men named Josiah Hull.[1]
His first wife may have been a woman named Elizabeth. His 2nd wife may have been a woman with the last name of Talmage who was born in 1665 at Killingworth, Connecticut[4]and died October 2, 1677.[5]
According to Killingworth Vital Records, 1667-1850, Josias, son of Josias died September of 1670, five years earlier than his father who died November 16, 1675.[6]
