Mary (Hulse) Hovey was born in Lancashire, England.
Mary was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mary Ann was born November 26, 1848 in Manchester, Lancashire, England and was baptised May 23, 1849 in the parish of St. Simon and St. Jude on Granby Row in Manchester, She is the daughter of Charles Wesley Hulse and Ann Smith.[1]

She married Joseph Grafton Hovey on June 8, 1866 in Millville, Cache, Utah, USA.

Mary Ann died April 15, 1934 in Hyrum, Cache, Utah, USA and was buried in Millville City Cemetery in Millville, Cache, Utah.[2][3]

"Mrs. Mary Ann Hovey Buried At Millville
Mrs. Mary Ann Hovey died April 15, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Jack Lauritzen after a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held at Millville Wednesday, April 18, with interment in the Millville cemetery. (Some of the obituary is unreadable)
Mrs. Hovey was born on November 26, 1848 at Manchester, Lancashire, England. At the age of six months she emigrated to the United States and resided at Pennsylvania until 1862, when she crossed the plains with a company of handcart pioneers and settled for a short time in Salt Lake, later moving to Millville where she had since made her home.
In 1865, she married Jos. G. Hovey who died Apr. 14, 1908, 25 years and 1 day prior to the death of Mrs. Hovey. To this union was born twelve children, eight of whom survive: Alonzo Hovey, Kimball, Canada; Bert Hovey, Leota, Utah; Mrs. Francis Heen, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lillian Brandt, Eureka, Utah; Mrs. Aimee Dallas, Live Oaks, California; Mrs. Hazel Chandler, Weiser, Idaho; Mrs. Mamie Noel, Whittier, California; and Mrs. Nesta Lauritzen, Hyrum.
Two brothers and three sisters also survive: Joseph Hulse of Hyrum, and Hyrum Hulse of Millville; Mrs. Elizabeth Anderson of Millville, Mrs. Edna Whitney of Cornish and Mrs. Francis Hunt of Cardston, Canada." [4]
