Biography

Buried Zanesville Cem, Jefferson, Logan, Ohio, USA.

Abraham moved to Logan Co, Ohio when a young man. He enlisted in the Tenth Ohio Battery, and was at the Battle of Shiloh on 5 April 1862. He was taken prisoner near Inka and sent to Florence, Alabama. He was exchanged and sent home within a few weeks. He again joined the battery, which was attached to General Thomas' command. He was at the Battle of Nashville, Tennessee, and at the end of three years service was mustered out at Louisville, Kentucky, in 1864. At the time of his discharge he held the position of Quartermaster Sergeant. G.A.R. Abraham and Amelia lived in Zanesville, Logan Co, Ohio.^[6]
