He participated in the American Revolution in the Battle of Concord, 19 Apr 1775. Appears in an order for advance pay given by company, dated Cambridge, 6 Jun 1775, payable to Captain Walker. Pay due on account of service in Captain Benjamin Walker's company, Colonel Bridge's Regiment. Appears with rank of Private on muster and payroll of Captain Stephen Russell's company, Colonel Samuel Bullard's regiment. Enlisted 15 Aug 1777, discharged 30 Nov 1777. Appears with rank of Private on muster and payroll of Captain Joshua Leland's company of Guards under Major Nathaniel Heath. Detached by order of General Hancock to man forts in and about Boston. Enlisted 5 Oct 1779, is charged 10 Nov 1779. Per Revolutionary War Archives of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as prepared by the Secretary of State.
