Biography
The son of William Carroll Hunt (1823-1883) and Liza Ann Moore (1823-1878), George was born in Logan County in 1851. In 1860, his family farmed in Todd County, Kentucky.[1] His siblings included:

Amanda Jerman Elizabeth HUnt (1847-1874)
James Monroe Hunt (1855-1907)
Susan Jane Hunt (1857-1942)
Henry Thomas Hunt (1860-1924)
George married Sarah Emeline Hays (1850-1942), the daughter of John Hays and Julia Ann Miller, marrying in Gibson County, Tennessee on January 20, 1869.[2] Their children included:
William A. Hunt (1870-)
John W. Hunt (1873-)
S. D. Hunt (1877-)
Mary Nettie (Hunt) DeFoe (1880-1926)
Benetta Hunt (1884-)
George Hunt (1888-)
They made their home and farmed in Gibson County.[3][4][5][6] George Hunt passed away there[citation needed] at the age of 67 and is buried at Union United Methodist Cemetery in rural Gibson County.[7]
