Joseph Hunt was born on 27 Apr 1729 in Somers, Hartford, Connecticut Colony, son of Joseph Hunt (1704 - 1728) and Anna (Wood) Grant (1713 - 1783).

His siblings were:

  1. Deliverance (Grant) Strong (1743 - 1810)
  2. Benjamin Grant (1745 - 1776)
  3. Peters Grant (1746 - 1813)
  4. Dorcas (Grant) Green (1749 - )
  5. Miriam (Grant) Root (1752 - 1845)
  6. Esther Grant (1754 - 1824)

Joseph married Bathsheba Pease (1732 - 1797)[1] on 18 Dec 1750. Their children were:

  1. Anna Hunt (>1750 - )
  2. Peters Hunt (1751 - 1814)
  3. Eleanor (Hunt) Jones (1753 - 1842)
  4. Bathsheba (Hunt) Parsons (1768 - 1858).

Joseph died in Dec 1814 aged ~85.
