Mary was born in Caledon Township, Ontario, she married Michael Baker on 5 March 1888 in Cheltenham, Ontario, one of the witnesses was her brother Thomas Hunter.
Mary died at the Toronto East General Hospital, cause of death was due to a fall at home, which resulted in a broken neck and femur, plus pneumonia.
She was buried 21 October 1946 at Alton Cemetery.

Obituary
Baker, Mary E. Hunter -At the Toronto East General Hospital, on Thursday October 17, 1946, Mary E. Hunter, beloved wife of the late Michael Baker (late of 35 Humberside Ave.).
Resting at the Wm. Sherrin Funeral Home, 873 Kingston Rd., Toronto. Service in the chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m., thence to the residence of her sister-in-law, at Alton, Ont., for funeral service on Monday at 2 p.m. Interment Alton Cemetery.

At the age of 11, Mary appeared with her parents in the 1881 Canadian Census in Caledon, Cardwell, Ontario. ^[1]
