He was the son of William Henry Hurrell and Elizabeth Jane Luckham, of South Milton, Devon, England.
He arrived in Auckland, New Zealand, in about 1905 onboard the ship Hermine.
He died in April 1941, aged 62.
Probably named Sherrick Robert Hurrell at birth; later known as Robert Sherrick Hurrell.
